Sodium chloride is a sodium salt also called table salt, commonly used in food to salt foods. It is the raw material in the chemical industry for producing soda and chlorine. In cosmetics, it is often used as a thickener in shampoos and shower gels or in oral preparations to clean and eliminate bad odors.
